Check the gauge.....

Ok, so here is my first lesson on why checking the gauge is so important.

This is my now oversized beanie. I am made it for my friend in NY, its wool and cozie AND bigger than it was supposed to be. OPPS! Hence that line in the pattern "make sure to check the gauge."

I am going to send it to her anyway w/something else I made because I started it over three times and darn it I worked hard. Since I'm sending it to someone that has known me since high school, I imagine she'll pity me and just tell me she loves it. I can live with pity. Hee hEee.....
